This UFC event marked the debut of Mirko Cro Cop and Quinton Jackson. Cro Cop is widely considered the 2nd best Heavyweight behind Feder Emelianenko. Mirko Cro Cop did not disappoint. He intimated and overpower Eddie Sanchez. The victory instantly give Cro Cop credibility with the mainstream fans, whom may not have even hear of him before. In the Main Event, Anderson Silva defeated Travis Lutter in a non-title match. Travis was not able to make weight. The match would go on, however it would not be for the UFC Middleweight Championship.
