    Shawn began his career in the AWA. He made his WWE debut in 1988. In his early years, he teamed with Marty Jannetty to form The Rockers. They teamed for several years. Marty had some backstage problems and management decided to break them up. Shawn began his single’s career by turning on Marty and becoming heel. On October 27, 1992, Shawn beat the British Bulldog for his first Intercontinental Championship. Shawn would then team up with Diesel (Kevin Nash). They formed an alliance on stage and backstage. They would gain influence and power backstage. Shawn became the major player in the WWE. He would go on the win the WWE World Championship and headline numerous Pay Per View. During this time, Shawn would use his power to influence the direction of the WWE wrestling scene. He made sure his friends and himself were positioned prominently on television. After his Wrestlemania 14 match with Steve Austin, he was force to retire due to back problems. Shawn took a few years away from the wrestling scene.

    He returned to the WWE in June 2002. He feuded with Triple H for the next year. At the Survivor Series 2002, Shawn won the WWE World Championship in the first ever Elimination Chamber. Shawn Michaels is known for being one of the best workers in the business. At Wrestlemania 21, Shawn Michaels and Kurt Angle displayed their talent for the world. They stole the show with their wrestling. In 2006, Shawn and Triple H teamed together to reform Degeneration X.

Shawn Micheals became the companies best worker. He would have classic matches with Chris Jericho, Edge, Ric Flair and Triple H. However, Shawn's body began to breakdown. At Wrestlemania 26. Shawn would wrestle The Undertaker with his career at stake. The match is arguably the best match in Wrestlemania history. As was rumored for months, Shawn lost the match and retired.
