Christian Cage has wrestled on national television for over the past ten years. He
made his debut in the WWE as a vampire character along with Edge. In his early
years, they would team together and win numerous tag team titles. Eventually,
they would break up and Christian began his singles career. He transformed his
character into arrogant alpha male. He nicknamed himself "Captain Charisma"
and called his fans "Peeps". The
cocky personality gave Christian’s career new life. Christian became very
popular among die-hard wrestling fans. During his time with the WWE, he worked as a midcarder, and
was unable to move up the roster. Christian became very frustrating
with the backstage politics in the WWE and decided to make a change.
In 2005, Christian's contract with WWE expire. He decided to shake up the
wrestling scene and sign with TNA. At the time, it was TNA biggest acquisition
in their company’s history.
Instantly, Christian Cage became a headliner for TNA. In February 2006, he
became TNAs World Champion. He would hold the title for four months. .
Christian's contract with TNA expired in November 2009. He decided to give
the WWE another chance and signed with them. In February, he joined the ECW
brand and began a feud with Jack Swagger.
