Christian Cage has wrestled on national television for over the past ten years. He
made his debut in the WWE as a vampire character along with Edge. In his early
years, they would team together and win numerous tag team titles. Eventually,
they would break up and Christian began his singles career. He transformed his
character into arrogant alpha male. He nicknamed himself "Captain Charisma"
and called his fans "Peeps". The
cocky personality gave Christian’s career new life. Christian became very
popular among die-hard wrestling fans. During his time with the WWE, he worked as a midcarder, and
was unable to move up the roster. Christian became very frustrating
with the backstage politics in the WWE and decided to make a change.
In 2005, Christian contract with WWE expire. He decided to shake up the
wrestling scene and sign with TNA. At the time, it was TNA biggest acquisition
in their company’s short history.
Instantly, Christian Cage became a headliner for TNA. In February 2006, he
became TNA”s World Champion. He held the title for four months. Christian would
go onto feud with Rhino for the majority of 2006. In early 2007, He would win
his second World Title by beating Sting and Abyss at Final Resolution.
