Since the inception of TNA, Abyss has been a major part of the company. He is TNA's darkest character. He is known for wearing black and until recently never
spoke a word. Abyss has been decianated as the companies hardcore wrestler. In December 2005, he wrestled Sabu in
companies first barb-wired match. It was
extremely bloody and brutal. In his matches, he is known to use include thumbtacks,
which usually backfires on him.
At TNA Genesis 2006, Abyss beat Sting to win his first world
title. Although, the title run would be short lived. It gave Abyss creditability
with the fans. He has become well known across the world. Abyss has
feuded with Sting, Kurt Angle, Jeff Jarrett, and many more.
In 2010, Abyss received the
biggest push of his career. Hulk Hogan teamed up Abyss and feuded with A.J.
Styles and Ric Flair.
